Meeting the Cedar Bark Poets and the Friends of The Grove, and being in The Grove, at the Community Centre and in the Newton PLOT, through the seasons, spring, summer and early fall.

The first time I met the poets, we sat around an oblong table and shared food, poetry and hard-luck, hard-time stories. We heard DD play his guitar and several folks recited from memory poems held, rubbed, stored, forgotten, brought out into the light again and again. Something to hold onto.

Outside the rain poured down into the black Saturday night. Inside, we exchanged chapbooks and the circle sustained us.
