Thrown off ferry decks
bread freefalls
seagull mouths await

Morning Alarm Lune-acy

A morning shattered
By alarm
Hitting of Snooze bar

Momentarily
To disarm
again sleep, dreams charm

But countdown to wake
again takes
resounding tone shakes

hitting of snooze bar
alarm halts
dreams of sleeping starts

but the alarm barks
waking parts
disrupted sleep fades

Realities set
of morning
the day before starts

You can’t just hit snooze
all day long
more sleep is needed

the day doesn’t go
Sleep can’t stay
Has to be this way

the day doesn’t go
Sleep can’t stay
Must is be this way

but hit one more snooze
more seconds
delay the day more

I just want to sleep
Short moments
to lay here and snore

Rhiannon’s Lune Poems:

A warm cup of tea
fills my heart
enlightens my mind

Poetry and tea
go together
just like you and me

Jonah’s Lune Poems:

Just colour the world
sipping tea
breathing love kindly

Teacup bird feeder
Fly by birds
Stop to snack some seeds
