NaPoWriMo 2015 – Day 13

In keeping with the mysterious quality of the number 13, today our writers were challenged to write a riddle poem. This poem should describe something without ever naming it. Perhaps each line could be a different metaphor for the same object?

Crop circles
Carved into stone
Earth figures
Bleached white bones
Hand-prints on the wall
Pyramids stand tall
Calendars metronome all
Massive blocks cut so fine
Rock pictographs sublime
Designs on the ground
Heads no longer talking found
Caves of portent
Consciousness rent
Massive grids
Universal geometrics
Ancient Shamans and Mystics
We the apex hominids
Dreaming the linguistics.
